Airports in China and Egypt select air traffic control systems HITT

Apeldoorn/The Netherlands, 30 June 2010 - The Air Traffic Management Bureau of CAAC, the Chinese Civil Aviation Administration, has selected HITT for the fifth time to provide a ground movement control system, this time in Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport. With 22 million passengers in 2009 and an increase of 16% passengers a year, the airport is the sixth busiest airport in China. The system will be operational within ten months.

HITT receives order for Vessel Traffic System for Noordzeekanaal, Netherlands

HITT has received the final order from The Netherlands Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management (RWS) for the design and delivery of a vessel traffic guidance and control system on the Noordzeekanaal (North Sea Canal) and surrounding waterways, including its 10 years maintenance.

The system, which is to be realized in 18 months and which does not require significant investments in infrastructural changes, is necessary to accommodate the anticipated growth of maritime traffic whilst ensuring safe transits. The system will significantly contribute to the increase of safety and efficiency on the water . The order (“award”) is worth approximately EUR 17 million.

HITT selected to supply Traffic Control Systems for the Den Helder Region

Second Dutch order for HITT this week

HITT has been notified by the Netherlands Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management (RWS) of their intention to award HITT with an order to design, build and carry out maintenance of the traffic control systems in the Den Helder VTS Region. RWS guarantees that the provisional award of contract will be finalized within 15 days (Alcatel-decree). The system will be realized in 10 months. The order is worth approximately EUR 2.3 million. Earlier this week HITT received a similar notification with regard to the supply of the Vessel Traffic Services for the Noordzeekanaal, worth EUR 17 million.

HITT supplies systems for vessel traffic management in the Chinese province of Zhejiang

Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, 26 November 2009 – HITT will be supplying the modernization, expansion and new construction of the vessel traffic management systems of Ningbo, Zhoushan and Hangzhou Bay in China. Zhejiang Maritime Safety Administration (MSA) selected HITT’s system based on its state-of-the-art technology, as best out of three providers. The contract has a value of approximately EUR 3.3 million.

The Zhejiang province is located south of Shanghai. Ningbo is an important port for the petrochemical industry and the fourth container port of China. With this new order and its existing operations in Shanghai, HITT belongs to one of the strongest players in the growing segment of vessel traffic systems in China.

As part of the project for China MSA, HITT provides the ISIS (Integrated Surveillance Information Services) server which collects and integrates relevant shipping information by linking with existing and new systems in China. In addition it offers an Internet application that provides access to real time information on shipping movements.

Safety and efficiency further increases at Dublin Airport

Apeldoorn, November 2, 2009. The Advanced Surface Movement Guidance and Control System (A-SMGCS) supplied by HITT officially became operational at Dublin Airport last week. The system ensures safe and efficient movement of vehicles and aircraft in all weather conditions.

HITT to supply system to second airport Shanghai

March 16, 2009. HITT has been selected by the Air Traffic Management Bureau of China to supply a ground surveillance safety system to Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, the second airport of Shanghai. The system will ensure a higher level of safety on the ground.

HITT acquires order in Angola from Chinese harbour giant

February 16, 2009. HITT has acquired an order from China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd. for the installation of a Vessel Traffic System in the Angolese port of Lobito. The Chinese company, specialised in road and hydraulic engineering, is working on the modernisation of this Angolese port. HITT’s vessel traffic management system will contribute to the safety and efficiency of maritime traffic in the port. The system will be completed this year.

HITT provides systems for three airports in Turkey

December 1, 2008. HITT has received an order amounting to EUR 8 million to deliver ground movement control systems for the airports of Ankara, Istanbul and Antalya in Turkey. These three airports handle the majority of all air traffic to, from and in Turkey.

HITT replaces radar at Schiphol Airport

September 20, 2008. Today HITT replaced the radar of the Air Traffic Control tower at Amsterdam – Schiphol Airport, at the request of the Dutch Civil aviation Authority LVNL. This was a sizeable, well planned operation in which a 120 m tall crane, among other things, lowered the 1300 kg protective cover (radome) and hoisted up a replacement.

HITT receives order to deliver system for Hong Kong

September 9, 2008. Today HITT received the contract from the Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to deliver an additional radar and integrate it into the existing Hong Kong system delivered by HITT in 2003. The radar will be positioned on top of the North Point Government Offices (Hong Kong Island). The radar will replace an existing radar that is positioned on the former airport, as the latter will be affected by the proposed development there. The order amounts to approx EUR 5 million and the system will be operational within 1 year.
